OBT Does Photo Shoot at Lint
Sunday night a great team from the Oregon Ballet Theater came to do a photo shoot for the "Who's your Dancer" series. We moved crazy amounts of yarn into the library for the event. I think it's going to be quite cool to see the final shots when they send them. And look for the posters around town next Spring! Oh, and here's a picture of Charlie!

The Almost Finished Product
I'm having trouble getting the pictures of the finished library for you to see. Trust me, it's quite nice. The shelves are all natural with only a coating of linseed oil to protect the wood. It's so amazing to have something built just for Lint. The carpenters have done a beautiful job. If anyone is interested in procuring their services, you can contact Adam Lutz at 503.349.3783. I'll try to post pictures soon!
New Bookshelves, New Library, New Love!
On Wednesday, we began to say goodbye to our old crappy bookshelves.
Look at these flimsy guys.
Taking out the yarn and books...What a lot of books we had!Going...Gone! Time for something new!We had these beauties made just for us. The wood is reclaimed, so no trees were harmed in the production of these shelves. There's Peter in the blue shirt. (My husband.) And his co-worker, Tas. (A dear friend.)
Looking Good!

Hot, Hot, Hot!!!
So it's supposed to be freakin' hot this weekend. We're doing our very best to keep the store cool, including running the air conditioner at night, but alas, we still don't have central air. If it gets to be just too darned hot, we might take the afternoon off. So please give us a call if you plan on coming in on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday afternoons. (Just to be sure!) We'll probably be here. We might just be very, very still. Thanks for understanding! Stay cool!

New Yarns at Lint
We have received a couple of new yarns this past week and I thougth you might want to know about them!
First, we've expanded our selection of a great kids yarn called Jellibeenz. This yarn is washable and now comes in pastels as well as brights. It's perfect for those fun sweaters and baby blankets. And it's a steal at only $4 a ball!
Next we have a new yarn called Merino Supreme. This is 100% superwash merino in a 4 stitch to the inch gauge. Also a steal at only $5 per ball. (We love this one!)
Lastly, Collinette has done it again with this gorgeous hand-dyed Kid Mohair blend. It's a lace weight with over 240 yards per hank. A great buy at $13 per skein. Oh, so lovely it is...
