Tiboodoo's Baby Kits and a Happy New Year!

Come in and check out our new baby kits! No, it's not a kit to make a baby! They are kits to make baby sweaters, baby booties, and baby hats! This french company uses some of Anny Blatt's finest yarns in these to-dye-for kits. And a happy new year to you and yours. See you in 2006!

Volunteers?

Hello,
I am looking for someone who would like to spend one afternoon of their week (for about nine weeks?) teaching some nice kids how to knit. I am the Artistic Director/Supervisor at the Boys and Girls Club in NE Portland and am looking for someone to help me start a knitting groups with the kids. If youi know anyone who would like doing something like this, or how I can get in touch with someone who would like doing this, please let me know.
Any information is appreciated,
Thanks,
Jess Bollaert

Class Projects

I'm so happy with our teachers and the quality of classes that we offer here at Lint. I thought you might want to see some of the great projects we have for our Winter Class Schedule. (Check it out at www.lintinc.com) These are samples for Jo Mackby's classes: Fingerless Gloves with optional Argyle and Mosaic Knitting. There are two Intro to Intarsia classes taught by Leigh Radford. The smaller bag is the project for the one day intarsia workshop, and the larger is for the 3 week class. Each of these pieces is an original pattern designed by our very talented teachers. Needless to say, I think these are going to be great classes with lots to learn and great projects!

I'm still full

The spirit of the holidays was definitely with us last night. What a potluck wonderland we had here at the store. I can't beleive how many scrumptous treats there were to partake of. We had so much fun sharing our special foods and special company with each other. A big thanks to Nancy who brought us the coffee and many of the delicious dishes that we enjoyed. (You're a superstar!) Merry Chrismakwanzakah to all of you!

snowy town, USA

Weirdness, knitting and inclement weather go hand in hand here at Lint!

Knit it snow, knit it snow, knit it snow!

We closed at 4pm Sunday
due to snowyness and cold.

Stay tuned for Monday hours of operation.

Yes, we are crazy for the white stuff!

Felted Ornaments, Felted Fun!

This Saturday Leigh Radford will be teaching the felted ornament class here at the store. We have a tree covered with them and a garland made from the cute little balls of joy. This class was a total blast last year, and should prove to be again this year. You don't have to know anything about knitting to take it. All you need is your hands, some soapy water, and an imagination. If ornaments aren't your thing, you can always use the technique to create a super cute pin cushion. What a great personalized gift for the sewer in your life. The class is from 12:30 to 4pm this coming Saturday.

Crazy Knit Night!

I absolutely LOVE my knit-nighters! Tonight there was much laughter and fun. It truly warms my heart to know the joy that knitting brings to these wonderful people. There was even some conspiring to have a potluck the Tuesday before Christmas. I believe that is December 20. So, come as you are, or bring us some treats! (Don't worry, I'll remind you.) What's better than celebrating the holidays with your knitting buddies?
